Together for Adoption are proud to be part of Adoption North West who are launching a new adoption recruitment campaign from 10th March 2025.
Adoption agencies from across the North West are working together to find adoptive parents and loving homes for children in our care.
There are children across the North West waiting for loving homes.
We are particularly looking for adopters who would consider adopting brothers and sisters, or children over the age of 4, as these children often wait longer than others to be adopted.
Brothers and sisters support each other, and together with you, they can have a safe and loving family to grow and thrive in.
Why adopt?
There are many reasons why you should adopt with us we will be there to support you throughout your adoption journey.
Here are some statistics which refer to children with either a local authority plan of adoption and/or placement order and have not yet been ‘placed for adoption’. They highlight the number of children who are waiting for adoption across the North West.
- 374 children were waiting for an adoptive home
- 98 children were age 4 or over (26% or a quarter of our children)
- 145 of these children were in a sibling group (39%).
Our campaign, running 10th to 24th March 2025, is set to highlight the impact of keeping brothers and sisters together and why we need adoptive families to consider siblings.

We work with prospective adopters from all walks of life, however, there are some regulations that all UK adoption agencies follow:
- You must be over 21 years old (there is no upper age limit)
- You must have been residing in the UK for the last 12 months
- No caution or conviction of a specific offence (e.g. offences involving children).

What is Adoption North West?
Adoption North West is a collaboration of Regional and Voluntary Adoption Agencies from across North West England.
Together, the RAA’s and VAA’s combine their knowledge and skills to develop campaigns that support those children needing families within the region.
